If you would like to use a passphrase, press the left button. If not, press the right button and go to step 15. A passphrase increases the security of your wallet. It may be treated as a 'secret word' that you may choose not to include on your recovery sheet to prevent theft. If a malicious actor obtains your recovery information, they cannot access your wallet without your passphrase. If you choose to withhold your passphrase from your recovery sheet, make sure it is a word you will not forget. If you forget your passphrase, you will not be able to recover your wallet in the future.

Select the number of recovery words you would like to use in your wallet's word seed. It is recommended that you use 24 words. Use the left button to toggle the number of words you would like to use. Press the right button to make your selection.
Use the left and right buttons to scroll through the word seed (recovery phrase). Note that the seed is presented in a unique order indicated by the sequence number displayed above each word. Record your word seed on the included recovery sheet in the sequence indicated by the numbers above each word. Each field on the recovery sheet is numbered to avoid any confusion in the future.
Please note that if you lose this recovery sheet, or the information you have recorded on it, you will not be able to recover your wallet and you will permanently lose all assets stored within the wallets generated by this word seed. Exercise great caution moving forward and ensure that you securely store this recovery sheet and make duplicates of the information if necessary. Please also note that anyone with access to this word seed (+passphrase if used) has the ability to access all all of your assets. Your word seed is effectively the skeleton key to all of your wallets. Store this information as securely as possible.

Use the left and right buttons to scroll through the provided words. Find the word that corresponds to the sequence number provided on the previous screen (#19 in this example). Press both buttons to confirm it as the correct word and repeat these steps until the device has completed the word seed confirmation process.
